Deniliquin High School held its annual cross country on Wednesday, with a colour run offered as a non‑competitive option and proving a major drawcard for students.

The event doubled as a fundraiser for Deniliquin’s Ben Hayes, with proceeds going toward his ongoing recovery after a swimming incident which resulted in spinal cord damage.
The colour course looped through Memorial Park, where teachers were stationed with handfuls of brightly coloured cornflour, ready to douse passing students.
Many eager students who completed the full cross country then pulled on a white shirt and headed back out for a second lap, keen to join the colour run fun.
