Greens Lake at Corop will be temporarily closed from 5pm Monday, October 5 until 5pm Wednesday, October 7 while Goulburn-Murray Water carries out grounds maintenance and weed spraying as part of its fire prevention program.
The works aim to reduce fire risk and maintain the site in a safe condition for visitors and the surrounding community.
Public access to the lake will not be permitted during the closure period.
G-MW general manager water storage services Jon McKeown said the closure was necessary to ensure the safety of visitors ahead of the warmer months.
“Making sure Greens Lake remains a safe place for visitors and the community, particularly ahead of the warmer months in summer is essential,” Mr McKeown said.
“We appreciate the community’s understanding while these important works are completed.”
