Set down for Thursday, July 16 and run by pro golfer Jody Fleming, the 10am-11am session will target primary school aged children, while secondary school students get their chance from 11am-12pm.
Both are hosted with the support of Golf NSW and Jack Newton Junior Golf.
The cost is $10 per child, which also includes a sausage sizzle lunch, drinks and an opportunity for course play and other golfing activities with the support of club members.
Open to males and females, you don’t have to have previous golfing experience to participate.
All equipment is provided for you, but you are welcome to bring your own clubs if you have them.
Fleming herself starting playing golf at the age of 10, on the Mornington Peninsula, with her parents and sister.
She then progressed through the amateur ranks, which eventually opened up opportunities to play in Victorian state teams then train with the Australian Institute of Sport.
Fleming turned pro at 23 and played on tour for six years in locations such as Asia, Australia and the US, winning the Texas Open in 2012. After leaving the tour, she trained with the Professional Golfers' Association to become a coach.
Fleming was in Deni only last week to continue working with junior girls participating in Australian Golf Foundation Junior Girls Scholarship Programme supported training, which started six months ago.
