Year 12 PJ Day fundraiser

Phoebe Crothers and Luke Moorse wore pyjamas for the year 12 fundraiser on Tuesday.

Deni High students didn’t have to get out of their pyjamas on Tuesday.

The Year 12 class hosted a fundraiser and invited fellow students and staff to wear PJs and make a gold coin donation.

Other activities were also held to raise more funds.

Year 12 adviser Jacob Hird said the money would help support Year 12 graduation activities, and allow the graduating class to purchase a gift for the school.

“The Year 12s cooked pancakes for lunch and recess, and one of the activities was a chocolate toss where students had to land a gold coin on a block of chocolate.

“Some found the activity a bit difficult, and it involved a bit of skill, but some kids were able to win a block of chocolate.

“Even though it was raining, it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Overall, it was quite a successful day.”
