The Under 15s Redeyes kicked off the netballing action for the day and were unable to fight their way back in a 10 goal loss to Rennie.
A hot start was the key ingredient in Rennie’s sizzling premiership win to cap a stellar undefeated season for the Hoppers.
Sophie O’Dwyer’s booming opening quarter performance from inside the zone thrust Rennie into pole position at the first change, linking up with Ella Rhodes for a goaling clinic and proving too much to handle for the Redeyes’ defenders Sophie Murray and Shelby-Lea Hislop.
The Redeyes were lifted by the highlight of the day, with shooter Ellie Caruso managing to lob a near impossible shot in for a goal while falling out of bounds.
But Rennie’s consistency across the board allowed the side to coast into the final stanza boasting an unassailable lead, with the Hoppers finishing strong for a 34 to 24 win.
The Under 13s Redeyes were outclassed in their decider as Tocumwal flexed their muscle to claim a comfortable premiership.
In blazing form from the outset, the Bloods stretched Blighty right across the court and raced to a nine goal lead at the half.
Any chance of a comeback was quickly dashed when league medallist Jessica Hanmer suffered a devastating ankle injury after falling awkwardly on her foot when attempting to intercept.
Costly turnovers continued to hurt Blighty from that point, as the Bloods kept their opponents scoreless for the final quarter to sail home to a 21 to 6 win.
