Veterans travel to Albury

A number of players from Deniliquin Badminton Club travelled to Albury over the weekend to play in the Veterans’ Badminton Tournament. 

This tournament is for players over the age of 35. Players from Deni representing the Murray Valley teams were Nico de Voogel, Michael Pisasale, Steve O’Neill, Jeff Andrews, Penny Gallpen, Aileen Hayes, Ramesh Shrestha, Kim O’Neill and Seema Shah. 

Round 9 of the Deniliquin Badminton Spring competition was played on Monday evening. 

Hotshots defeated Badminators with a close score of 249-234.  

Shibu Joseph was the only three game winner for Badminators. 

In the other match, Smashers gained victory over Racquetters with an impressive score of 255-236.  

Congratulations to Kirsty Wilson for winning three games for Smashers. 

Smashers have the bye in Round 10.  

The Deniliquin Badminton Club welcomes players of all ages and levels. 

If you have never played badminton before and would like to give it a try, or have played several years ago and would like to get back into playing, you are welcome to join in.
