The season began with players across the Red, Orange and Green Hot Shots groups taking part in coaching and modified match play, while Section 1 competition also got underway.
Club officials credited the program's success to the dedicated team of coaches, parent helpers and volunteers who give their time each week to ensure junior tennis can run smoothly.
"We say it every year, but it's absolutely true - our junior tennis program simply couldn't run without our volunteers,“ the club said.
Parents are encouraged to get involved throughout the season, with extra hands always welcomed both on and off the court.
Section 1 was missing several players due to clashes with soccer and basketball tournaments, but reserve players stepped up to fill the gaps and keep matches running.
A special welcome was also extended to the club's newest Section 1 competitors, who made a strong start in their first appearance at the level.
Five players recorded three-set victories in round one - Charlotte King, Mitchell Burn, Edward Bliss, Jed Chadderton, Inkie Leech.
With a successful opening round complete, players will return to the courts this Saturday for round two.
Times for this weekend are as follows: Red and Orange Hot Shots - 9am-9.45am; Green Hot Shots - 10am-11am; Section 1 match play - 9am (hit-up from 8.30am).
