Edward Public School held a successful athletics carnival on Wednesday.
The school registered some near record-breaking performances and some excellent displays of sportsmanship.
The athletics skills practice sessions the school held over the last three weeks proved worthwhile.
Many students surprised themselves with extra-long distances and fast times.
The winning house was Peppin with 194 points.
The school’s top performers will have another chance to compete at the district athletics carnival in August.
Age campions were as follows:
Junior Boy Champion - Levi Thommers-Norris; runner-up Leo Herberte.
Junior Girl Champion - Bella Leetham; runner-up Claudia McMahon.
11yrs Boy Champion - Carter Sartore; runner-up Mannix Taylor.
11yrs Girl Champion - Isabella Goodear; runner-up Karmalay Heke.
Senior Boy Champion - Jaxon Ives; runners-up Taj McCully and Reece King.
Senior Girl Champion - Shelby Huckin; runner-up Meg Meharry.
