The two Deniliquin Bowling Club Weekend Pennant teams with finals aspirations got the job done in emphatic style on Saturday, in the last round of the home and away season.

Division 1 hosted Stanhope who were on the bottom of the ladder, but who had achieved some memorable moments during the season.
This included defeating top team Moama.
It turned out to be a clinical victory for the home side though, when they cruised to a comfortable 68-39 victory.
The rink of Shane Laing (s), Rob Morris, Dallas Kitchin and Bryan Kemnitz was in control from the outset before posting a 27-10 win.
It was a fairly similar story on the other two rinks with Mark Quor’s side getting home, 21 shots to 14, while Jamie Shields’ team won 20-15.
They are now scheduled to play Mathoura in next Saturday’s semi-final at Stanhope.
Division 2 faced a more difficult assignment when they travelled to take on Echuca, who were above them on the ladder, and needed to claim a win to ensure a finals berth.
They responded to the challenge in a gritty fashion, recording a hard-fought victory, 65 shots to 55.
Mark Tasker, Jill Grimshaw, David Hessel and Glenn Thomson (s) appeared to have the game done and dusted when leading 17 to four with only a few ends to play, before getting the staggers late in the contest.
They regained their touch from there though, and steadied to win 18-15.
Andrew Holloway, Terry Taylor, Steve King and Paul ‘Trapper’ Snare (s) also led late in their game, but fell away late before going under, 22 shots to 27.
Stuart Treble skipped his side including Terry Boyer, Joanne Bovell and Craig Hillier to a comprehensive 25-13 victory, despite dropping a five on the fourth end to briefly surrender the lead.
That was their only hiccup however as they quickly assumed control, and powered home to ensure the overall 10 shot victory.
They also travel to Stanhope next week to take on Rich River.
Division 3 knew that they couldn’t figure in any finals action this year, but finished the season in positive fashion when they accounted for Elmore, 60 shots to 53.
Keith Hay (s), Tony King, Craig Murray and Mike Donohue took the lead by one shot late in the contest, but dropped six shots on the final three ends capitulating 16 shots to 21.
Lee Pattinson’s rink with Tom Todd, Mick Atley (whose inclusion dropped the average age down appreciably) and Lloyd Ritchie had all the answers when regularly challenged before winning, 21-16.
The final combination, skipped by Ken ‘Titch’ Salter along with Tony Danckert, John Murray and Winnie Pattinson played very solidly to record a 23-16 win, and make sure of the overall seven shot victory.
Incidentally, Salter is carving out quite a niche for himself as skipper, which could be an ominous sign for the usual skip at Bannockburn, Steve O’Brien.

There were two separate two game winners when a quality field of bowlers took to the green for the Clear Lifestyle Support Jackpot Bowls at the Deniliquin Bowling Club on Wednesday.
The combination of Ron Davis and Stuart Treble claimed the bragging rights when they had a four shot better differential over Lyn Hardcastle, Nathan Coleman and ‘Titch’ Salter.
It was then up to the aforementioned Salter, who happens to be the reigning joker finder, to attempt to repeat the dose for a $1950 collect.
Sadly for him, but to the delight of everyone else in the room, he missed out this time.
It leaves $2000 up for grabs after play tomorrow.
We’re down to the last quarter of the pack too, so a very substantial windfall for a lucky bowler should not be too far away.
Intending players are asked to register before 5pm, either in person or by ringing the club on 5881 1348, with play to commence at 6pm.
