Fourteen players contested round two of the Deniliquin Croquet Club’s Challen Cup on Sunday.

Current champion Peter Whittakers claimed the round on a countback from Garry Brose in second and Brad Fawns in third.
Several players were two game achievers, including Brian Dudley, Frank Conallin, Rex Kernich, Mary James and Terry Murphy.
Three players scored jump shots with Rod Fawns achieving three, Allan Tonta two and Brad Fawns one.
On Wednesday, great weather encouraged 15 players to participate.
Allan Tonta was the lone three game winner on the day.
There were several two game achievers, including Terry Murphy, Andy Davis, Brad Fawns, Faye Druitt, Alan Higgins, Brian Dudley and Leo Barry.
Only two jump shots were scored for the day, with one each to Andy Davis and Marg Telford.

Several players head off to Swan Hill for a social day this Friday, and Fred Littmann and John James have been seen on the practice courts preparing for an association tournament this coming weekend.

While excellent weather continues, players are asked to assemble at 8.30am for 9am starts on Sundays and Wednesdays.
