The inline 65 cylinder was the beginning of the Chevrolet 6 cylinder line, eventually becoming the Holden 6 cylinder.
It was once owned by FS Falkiner and Sons, famed merino sheep breeders, who owned large properties in the Western Riverina.
They owned two Buicks - one in the paddock and the other for on-road - as they were known for their reliability.
The display car was located under a tree in a paddock at ‘Wanganella Station’ and was salvaged and restored.
It is now owned by Andrew Sutton of Moulamein, who generously has made it available to display in the Moulamein Heritage Village.
Moulamein Heritage Village preserves the stories and heritage of NSW’s oldest river town and the surrounding district.
In addition to the display at the Jeraly Woolshed, there are restored historic buildings, pioneer-era displays and exhibits that celebrate the settlers, farmers and shearers who helped shape the Riverina region and its enduring community spirit.
The village is open by appointment, and is popular among vintage car groups and other travelling groups from across Australia.
There is ample parking space, where groups can base themselves for the day, partake in the local hospitality, and spend time soaking up the history of Moulamein - the oldest town in the Riverina.
