Fires ease in Greece as people return to gutted homes

Wildfires are easing in Greece, though hundreds of firefighters ‌are on alert for persistent flare-ups northwest of Athens, where rugged hills and canyons have hampered efforts to fully contain a blaze ‌that has gutted homes and scorched forests, farmland and olive groves.
