A team effort was required to complete the project on time, with Mr Arthur saying the work has been carried out to a high standard.
‘‘Jim Grant volunteered his time to be the site supervisor which was a huge commitment, along with Graeme McKindlay who did a phenomenal job to financially manage the project,’’ Mr Arthur said.
‘‘Bernie Green of B Green Constructions showed a high level of workmanship that was very professional.
‘‘Bernie ensured the project was within budget and delivered on time.’’
Mr Arthur also praised Deniliquin tradesmen who worked on the project, including the teams from TA Maher Electrical and and Barnetts Plumbing, and Rhys Tremble.
‘‘From my perspective, as the manager of 15 years, I am so happy that our dream and vision has come to fruition,’’ Mr Arthur said.
‘‘The extra court space will create opportunities for the players and deliver economic benefit to Deniliquin.
‘‘Terry Maher has also sourced some new lights for the stadium.
‘‘All tradies involved in this upgrade have been nothing less of sensational.
‘‘I personally want to thank Craig (Druitt), Graeme and Jim.
‘‘The grants bodies and the Deniliquin Community Group have also made this possible.
‘‘Finally, a huge thank you to the the councillors and staff at Edward River Council for supporting the project.
‘‘They have all put in a lot of hard work to get this finished on budget and on time and they delivered on both fronts.’’
