The Campaspe Murray Business Awards are on again, giving people a chance to shine a spotlight on a top business or employee in the region.

Now in its 24th year, the awards celebrate excellence and innovation across a diverse range of industries.
Businesses operating within the Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council areas are eligible to apply, with 16 categories on offer in 2026.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell said the awards continued to highlight the strength and diversity of the local business community.
“These awards are an opportunity to shine a light on the incredible businesses that drive our local economy, from long-standing enterprises that have supported our communities for generations, to new and emerging businesses making their mark,’’ he said.
Three new categories have been added for the 2026 event — the sustainability award, community-minded award and apprentice of the year — expanding the way you can recognise businesses and individuals.
Murray River Council Mayor John Harvie said the popular Nichol Trading People’s Choice Award would also return, giving the community a chance to get involved.

“The People’s Choice Award allows the public to vote for their favourite finalist business, providing another way to recognise those who go above and beyond,’’ he said.

• Yield Insurance Home Based Business Award
• Foodmach Manufacturing and Trade Award
• C4EM Professional Service — Community Award (small)
• Coolabah Turf Professional Service — Community Award (large)
• Kagome Health and Wellbeing Award
• Murray Regional Tourism (MRTB) Tourism and Events Award
• CVGT Employee of the Year Award
• Community Bank Rushworth and Tongala New Business Award
• Telstra Business Professional Service Business Award
• McPherson Media Group Retail Award
• Rich River Golf Club Hospitality Award
• Ace Radio/Edge/2QN Young Entrepreneur Award
• Byford Equipment Apprentice of the Year
• NBN Local Community-Minded Award
• Bendigo Kangan Institute (BKI) Sustainability Award
All business nominees also go in the running for Business of the Year.
Applications close June 28 and voting for the People’s Choice Award will open from July 31.
Winners will be announced at the gala celebration dinner on October 21.
