The Deniliquin Kolety Lagoons Landcare Group (DKLLG) is among the finalists for the prestigious award, which recognises groups, networks and organisations that have demonstrated leadership and achievement in landcare activities through strong community partnerships and collaborative environmental management.

The winner will be announced at the NSW Landcare State Conference in Corowa from October 27 to 29.

The nomination acknowledges DKLLG's ongoing commitment to protecting, restoring and sustainably managing the Deniliquin Lagoons - one of the region's most significant natural assets.

Through partnerships with local community groups, government agencies, Traditional Owners and dedicated volunteers, the organisation has delivered a range of projects aimed at improving biodiversity, enhancing habitat and promoting environmental stewardship within an urban landscape.

Local Landcare coordinator, Janet Manzin, said the nomination reflects the collective efforts of many individuals and organisations who have contributed their time, knowledge and resources to the lagoons over several years.

The recognition highlights not only the environmental value of the Deniliquin Lagoons but also the strength of community-led conservation projects across the region.
