It included representation from organisations in the march including Finley High School, Children Centre, Berrigan Public School, Cobram Anglican Grammar, St Joseph's Finley, Cobram Secondary College, Xavier College, Berrigan Fire Brigade, Red Cross and CWA.
More than120 people enjoyed the formal part of the morning in the Memorial Hall.
Finley High School students Haylee Sharp and Sativa Morgan were the MCs for the official proceedings, and it was great to see our young locals taking on such roles.
School captains from Berrigan Public School - Harvey Swann, Will Batten, Ell Pearson and Ella Flynn - spoke about the history of Anzac Day.
Speakers included Lachlan Whelan, who spoke about his recent trip overseas with the Wanderers Australia Junior Boys AFL Ireland Tour. It incorporated three days visiting The Somme, Villers-Bretonneux, Sir John Monash Centre, Pozieres and the preserved Canadian battlefield at Beaumont-Hamel.
Karen Davis spoke about the Berrigan Vietnam Veterans in a very touching presentation of our local men who served, and Ray Macartney performed ‘I Was Only 19’.
A beautiful morning tea was provided by the Heritage Museum Committee.

On Friday, May 8, a Notable Women Cemetery Walk will be held from 9.30am.
Come along and discover the hidden histories of the women who helped shape our district in this guided walk through the Berrigan Cemetery.
Cost is $10 for the walk with a booklet included and $10 for morning tea, which will be held at the museum; cash only.

The Berrigan community cares about health.

The Berrigan Football Netball Club will be hosting its annual ball on Saturday, May 16.
The night will be a black tie theme, early bird tickets are $80 and from May 4 they are $90, which include a two course meal and live entertainment.
