The committee welcomed in a new president in Scott Nilsson, while Dimity Strongman was elected as secretary and Carla Armytage filled the treasurer’s role.
Nilsson said it was a tremendous response from the community, after it was recently revealed the competition was in danger of folding.
‘‘We had about a dozen people attend the AGM this time around,’’ he said.
‘‘We also managed to fill coaching roles but we always need more helpers for each age group.
‘‘We’re all so glad Auskick will go ahead as it’s so important to the town.
‘‘It feeds into all surrounding clubs including the Deni Rams, Rovers, Blighty and Mathoura.
‘‘It’s about giving the kids the opportunity to learn footy skills and to get out and get active.’’
The Auskick season is expected to start on Sunday, May 3.
‘‘We think that we’ll move Auskick from its usual Friday night slot to a Sunday morning,’’ Nilsson said.
‘‘We’re hoping this helps with preventing Auskick being called off due to rain and that it also makes it easier on the parents.’’
Coaches for the 2020 season are as follows: 5-6 years old - Lachlan Bull; 7-8 years old - Jim Macdonald; 9 and up - Leigh Strongman.
The next Auskick meeting will be held at the RSL Club at 6.30pm on April 27.
