The Cutters senior footballers are coming off a classic four point, come from behind win at home against Katunga 10.13 (73) to 10.9 (69) before the bye.
The win was particularly meaningful for the club, as it was the first senior football win since June 1, 2024.
The wins filtered through the club, with the reserves footballers claiming their second win of the year by 62 points and Mathoura’s junior netball teams all picking up convincing wins as well.
Tomorrow, the club travels to Rennie Recreation Reserve with the aim of continuing their winning ways.
Their Hopper counterparts are winless on the bottom of the ladder, including a 13 point loss against Mathoura’s last opposition, Katunga.
Both teams will be keen to come away with a win, but particularly Rennie at home.
In the other football grades, Rennie are second on the ladder in the fourths, but are winless in the thirds. Reserves sides for both clubs have had two wins so far this season.
In the netball, all the junior sides are top eight teams for both clubs.
The senior netball sides are evenly matched, with Mathoura holding the upper-hand in C-reserve, which bodes well for some cracking contests.
