The GVCA Singles tournament hosted by Deniliquin Croquet Club on Saturday and Sunday was a great success.

Forty croquet players completed 283 games over the two days.
The weather at the start of play was bitterly cold, however the days warmed up as they went on.
A Saturday evening barbecue was provided as part of the Deniliquin hospitality.
The finals were played on Sunday afternoon with Richard Parks (Williamstown) the winner in Division 1, Greg Brierley (Echuca Moama) in Division 2, and Jan Tracy (Echuca Moama) in Division 3.
Of the locals, Andy Davis was most successful with a five-game win.
The Deniliquin Croquet Club recognises the work contributed by all members towards the success of this tournament.
Sixteen members played on Wednesday.
Trevor David was declared the winner on a countback from Alan Higgins in second and Tony Bull third.
The two-game achievers were Tony Smith, Helen Moye, Andy Davis and Leo Barry.
There were six jump shots, with Andy Davis scoring three and Trevor David, Rex Kernich and Peter Whittakers scoring one each.
