Saturday was officially the second round of the Deniliquin & District Junior Soccer competition, but the first week the players have competed for the 2024 season.

After starting the season with a an opening gala day three weeks ago, the round one fixture the following Saturday, May 11 was washed out due to rain.
In 2024, ther organisation has been able to add additional teams thanks to an increase in registrations.
It really makes for Saturday mornings at Rotary Park to have a carnival atmosphere.
Everyone is looking forward to the rest of the season.

A-grade:
Heart looks to be a competitive team this year in A-grade, coming away with two wins.
However, the other teams aren’t far behind.
The Mariners and Victory match was exciting, as a nil-all draw played out.
Victory had a chance to take the win when given a penalty.
However, they missed the conversion, gifting the Mariners a draw.

A-Reserve:
United got off to a good start against the Mariners, with each team scoring goal for goal.
However, the Mariners seemed to find some team rhythm in the second half and ran away with the match, scoring another nine goals.
Strong defensive lines in the Heart and Victory match kept the score low and resulted in a draw.

B-grade:
In the Roar versus United match, a show of individual brilliance by Ned Campbell - including bursting down the left wing and scoring an impressive goal - sealed the win for Roar.

C-grade:
The Mariners versus Roar score saw Matthew Hood display his all-round brilliance to help his side win.
Despite the score, the match was evenly balanced.
The Mariners were just not able to find the back of the net.
In Heart versus United, a significant haul by Levi Robson secured a big win for Heart.
Congratulations to United for never giving up.

Both Mariners and Heart showed great sportsmanship and showed off their skills in their match. It was great to watch.
