On top of many quality clashes, the Rams’ sponsors’ day will add excitement to the day.
Nathalia present a top-tier opposition for the Rams in both the A-grade netball and the senior football, second on the ladder in both.
In the netball, the Purples are tied with ladder-leaders Mulwala having each lost only one match this season.
Rumbalara beat Nathalia in their last match by one goal, while the Purples got the better of Mulwala in their previous match by 11 goals.
In the football, Nathalia have the same record as Mulwala in third with eight wins and four losses, both behind an undefeated Congupna side.
Both clubs are fairly evenly poised in the junior football and netball.
The Rams also have plenty of history against the Purples, with both clubs leading the Murray League in senior football premierships.
In the senior football, the Rams are coming off a tough outing against the Moama Magpies before the league-wide bye last weekend.
Rams senior football coach John Fitzpatrick said the 70-point loss against the Magpies didn’t reflect the Rams’ best effort.
“It was actually pretty disappointing,” he said.
“We went over there and thought we had the opportunity to match it with them.
“It seemed that a few blokes just came along for the ride.”
Nathalia has only lost four games this season, all to top seven sides - Congupna, Cobram, Numurkah and Tongala.
Fitzpatrick said the Rams will try a few different things in the on field structure tomorrow.
“We go in positive to every game.
“We’ll change a few things up. We’ve struggled forward, and we knew that coming in, but we’ll try a few different things.
“We’ve got a couple of blokes out due to a few different things, but we’ve got Charlie Bull back, who’s a good young player.
“No doubt it’ll be another challenge, but we’ll turn up to play.
“The result will be what it is, but it will be a chance to give 100 per cent commitment.”
Coming off the league bye, Fitzpatrick said the team will be looking to put their best foot forward.
They are heading into the end of the season with only one club bye remaining, and eight rounds left in the home and away season.
“It is good to get a refresh, but it seems to come every four games. I’m not sure if we’re getting any benefit out of it because we get going a little bit and then stop.
“At this time of the year, in winter, it’s cold and its miserable.
“Like a lot of clubs, you look forward to it, but now is the time for us to knuckle down and get into it. There’s six to eight weeks, and then it’s all over.”
