The Redeyes put in a fighting performance against Tungamah, but still suffered a 58-point loss at home.
Meanwhile, Berrigan are coming off two consecutive wins of less than three points heading into the round nine fixture.
Blighty head coach Adrian Timmis said Tungamah has been a good football team for a long time, and his team’s resistance on the weekend was positive.
“They’re a really good side and they’ve been a good side for a long time. We’ll take a lot of positives from our efforts against them.
“Things are starting to take shape. We’re starting to put into practice on the field the things I’ve been talking about at training.
“Our transition has been better, we are communicating a bit more, predictability to teammates and playing our role.
“We’re building on that.”
While the team isn’t happy with the loss, Timmis said players are motivated by the progress shown since the previous week.
“We’ve got little goals which we are ticking off.
“I am happy with how it’s going at the moment. We know where we’re at.”
Timmis said the challenge will be maintaining that fight in future rounds.
“We need to make sure we do not leave it in the sheds at Blighty and that we take it with us to Berrigan,” he said.
