The Redeyes will take on Tungamah, who are travelling well with a top four team in every football and netball grade outside senior football and C-Reserve netball.
Even in the seniors' competition, Tungamah will be a tricky side for Blighty.
The Bears lost their first three senior football matches this season to Katamatite, Katandra and Strathmerton. They have since beaten Katunga by 222 points, Rennie by 83 points and Mathoura by 92 points.
In their last fixture before the bye, the Redeyes took on Dookie United with a good defensive effort in the senior football, but still went down 10.18 (78) to 3.7 (25).
The club is still winless in the seniors, and will hope to use their home ground advantage tomorrow.
Blighty senior football coach Dane Leyden said he hopes to see the side’s potential better reflected on the scoreboard.
“We thought we should have been better against Dookie.
“Although we were missing a few players, we think we’re a better side than what we put out.”
Ahead of this weekend, Leyden has outlined what he expects from the game.
“I want to see some real fight.
“We believe we have a winnable game against Tungamah, but it will take a four-quarter performance.”
Excitingly for Redeyes fans, the senior footballers will have an injection of talent this week.
“We have a few ins, including Ari Glover and Darchi Clarke who we have definitely been missed.
“We would love to get our first win on the home deck.”
