Experience crisp winter mornings at Deniliquin Golf Club, where lush fairways, surroundings, and welcoming hospitality create the perfect escape for golfers and visitors seeking relaxation, scenery, and memorable regional charm.
A key event on the club’s annual golfing calendar is the Winter Classic, which is on the weekend of June 6 and 7. This year the format will be 4-person ambrose, with 18 hole events for men and women on Saturday and Sunday, plus overall 36 hole events.

There has been a surge in popularity for ambrose events in recent times, including the annual Diggers Charity Day in late April that attracted a big field of 28 teams.
So get your team organised and get ready for a super long weekend of golf on June 6 and 7.
Regular golfing events will continue over winter, including medley competitions every Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 9 hole competition on Tuesday morning.
The club has also seen a big boost in the number of junior golfers, thanks to an active junior coaching program which also continues throughout winter. Any budding junior golfers who missed this round of clinics is encouraged to contact the club for future dates.
Deniliquin is extremely fortunate to have a quality 18 hole golf course conveniently located just a stone’s throw from the CBD, but nestled adjacent the Murray Valley Regional Park.
By modern standards, the course is not long — 5817m par 72 for men, and 5118m par 72 for ladies. However, off the back tees, it is a challenge for all levels of player, as many professionals who have tried to tame the course have discovered.
A feature of Deniliquin Golf Course is the ‘same-day play’ principle that applies. On most days, you can phone the pro shop on (03) 5881 3333 to book your tee-off time, or just call in and one of the friendly volunteer staff will cater for your golfing needs. If you prefer the relaxation of a golf cart, there are plenty of those available too.
If you want to practise your game, the club has an undercover driving range, which features an automated ball dispenser and lighting, allowing extended play on your terms. It’s simply a matter of getting a token or swiping your credit card to get a bucket of balls and work on your swing. Visitors are also encouraged to enter any of the club’s regular competitions, which are listed on its website.
They are also welcome to join locals in the clubhouse and enjoy a meal provided by Flagstick Bistro, which is open six days a week for lunch and dinner.
Friday nights are a specialty in the clubhouse, with meat raffles, great meals, and a fun atmosphere where locals will make you feel welcome.
The club also has onsite accommodation at the Deniliquin Golf Resort, allowing visitors easy access to the club and its facilities.
Whether it’s enjoying golf or a quality meal and social experience, Deniliquin Golf Club caters for your every need.
