Deniliquin Sporting Car Club members Bryson Lloyd, Neil Goudie, Gavan Nolan and Terry Maher entered under the team name Shorty’s Boys - in honour of the late Peter Short, who was a club and team, member and friend.
They were supported by team manager Graham Christie and Ray Manson and Ken Maher as pit crew.
Teams compete for the most consistent lap times over the six hour duration.
Due to an electronic timer malfunction when competing at the Mallala Motorsport Park in South Australia, a competition winner could not be declared.
It took officials three weeks to sort out the discrepancy and make a ruling.
Terry Maher said this caps off a great few years for Shorty’s Boys, after a win in the same competition in 2024 and a third placing in 2025.
