The focus for the game was to compete right through to the final whistle and leave everything out on the court, and the girls did exactly that, never dropping their heads and continuing to fight for every contest.
Ash Charlton worked hard all day in the goal ring, constantly moving to create options and making the most of her opportunities to convert on the scoreboard.
Her effort and persistence were a highlight.
Ava McInnes settled beautifully into the Redeyes lineup, already showing great determination and a strong willingness to learn and improve each week. She continues to build confidence and connection with her teammates.
In defence, Meg Erickson put in a huge performance, working tirelessly against a very strong shooting circle. Her effort, resilience, and refusal to give in couldn’t be faulted. We couldn’t have asked any more from her.
While the scoreboard didn’t reflect it, the effort and attitude shown are something the team can be proud of as they continue to build.

Despite the challenge, the girls did an incredible job maintaining focus right through to the final whistle.
We’re starting to see the team really come together, and it’s through games like these that our resilience continues to grow.

The midcourt is beginning to connect and find rhythm, and our shooters made the most of every opportunity that came their way.
One of our real strengths is the versatility across the court, with players confidently moving between positions at both ends.

The improvement in this Redeyes team is really starting to show, and it didn’t go unnoticed, with plenty of positive comments from the sidelines.
This group just doesn’t give up, and that determination was on display all game.
Our defensive end worked tirelessly against a Rovers shooting circle that was incredibly accurate, but the pressure and effort never dropped.
Across the court, there were some fantastic passages of play, with the girls continuing to push, support each other, and give it their all right to the final whistle.

The team came out with a positive attitude, ready to have fun and work hard.
The effort across the whole game was fantastic, and the score definitely didn’t reflect how hard the girls worked.
Defensively, the pressure was outstanding, with some great turnovers created through sheer persistence and teamwork.
There were also some really nice passages of play down the court, showing what this group is capable of.

With a difficult day for both clubs, with a number of players out.
We held our own, coming out strong from the first whistle.
We continued to stay composed and celebrated the win! Well done girls, a huge win and exciting for the club.

Despite the scoreboard, Blighty showed determination and resilience against a well-drilled opposition.
Led by Lily Peterson and Mila Bode, Blighty’s defenders worked tirelessly, putting in consistent efforts to slow the Rovers’ attacking momentum, but the opposition capitalised on their opportunities with accurate shooting and sharp movement in the goal circle.
Blighty continued to compete throughout all four quarters, with moments of strong teamwork and improved passages of play.

Under-13s: Blighty 5 to Deniliquin Rovers 42.
The focus for the girls was on the little wins, and as the game went on, you could really see them starting to come together and play as a team.
It’s a group that’s still learning and building connections, and the improvement across the match was clear to everyone watching.
We’re looking forward to matching up against Rovers in the final round and are excited to see how far the girls have come. This is a very eager and enthusiastic group who are keen to keep improving each week.
