It wasn’t the prettiest, but a win is a win.
Cobram’s defensive pressure was relentless throughout the game, making circle entries difficult at times and forcing us to work hard for every opportunity.
It was a battle of the defenders, with our back three of Elle Panton, Ella Park and Amelia Seignior getting on top of Cobram’s attacking end for much of the match.
Their pressure and determination provided the foundation for our performance.
We continued to chip away and gradually build scoreboard pressure, and a change in the attacking end proved effective.
Young gun Phoebe Newman once again made an impact when injected into the game, providing a sense of calm as we pushed our way to an important victory.

B-grade: Deni Rams 36 def by Cobram 54.
This week we were a little sluggish and out of sorts, and found it difficult to build any real momentum throughout the game.
Cobram fielded a strong combination of youth and experience and played some excellent netball.
We found some rhythm in the third quarter and were able to string together some positive passages of play, but Cobram lifted again in the final term and gradually pulled away.
Aysha Mitsch was outstanding, combining precise passing with excellent vision to create opportunities through the court.
Molly Bradley has continued her strong run of form over the past few weeks and was an important contributor, while captain Katie Arandt once again led by example, giving 100 per cent from the opening whistle to the final siren.

It was an exciting game, with the lead changing often on the scoreboard.
The Rams started a little slowly, trailing by nine at the first break.
With an increase in intensity and some impressive defensive pressure by Madi Leetham, the girls were able to gain two by the half time break.
Not to be beaten, our players came out with fierce determination in the third quarter.
Addi Hussey stood up in attack, positioning well in the goal circle and goaling with accuracy.
Macy Butcher played with patience through the midcourt.
The Rams took the lead by one goal at the three quarter time break.
Despite a solid last quarter, a few unforced errors cost them the game.

C-reserve: Deni Rams 27 def by Cobram 46.
C-reserve went down to Cobram, but it was one of the team's strongest performances of the season.
The ball transitioned smoothly through the court, and the growing connections between players were on full display.
Hilary Porter had an outstanding game in GA, creating strong leads, working the circle edge well, and converting into goals with accuracy.
Charlee Pitt controlled the midcourt, particularly in centre, providing great drive and delivering accurate feeds into the shooting circle.
Rose Nevinson was tireless through the midcourt, applying defensive pressure while also linking play and delivering quality ball into attack.

The girls strung together a consistent four quarters.
The midcourters stood up with strong defensive pressure through the middle and quick transitioning of the ball into our attack.
Bella Hillier, Georgia Henderson, Sienna Elphick and Brydey Maher combined beautifully.
The attackers played with patience, and our defenders turned over plenty of ball.

Despite a slow start against the ladder leaders, the girls showed tremendous determination and never gave up.
Aysha Bartlett was outstanding in the goal ring, shooting with great accuracy while also creating pressure through the midcourt with plenty of hands to the ball.
Stella Butcher was unstoppable, driving strongly into attack and delivering accurate feeds to the shooters all game.
Bailee Dunn was a defender’s dream, applying relentless pressure across the court and making life difficult for the opposition shooters.

The under-11s continue to improve each week, showing great determination.
Their shooting accuracy also improving, with the girls more confident in their shots.
They maintained excellent enthusiasm and effort throughout the game and should be proud of their progress.
