The two senior teams will go head-to-head for the Warner Tasker Cup.
The cup clash was started in 2007 as a tribute to the late Warner Tasker, a passionate local footballer and administrator strongly associated with both clubs.
Also up for grabs will be the Warner Tasker Memorial Medallion, awarded to the best on ground.
The Rovers have won the last seven Warner Tasker Cups, with the run starting in 2018.
There was no cup clash in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Redeyes will be looking to end the streak in the 19th edition of the cup.
Blighty is coming off a tight three-point loss at Jerilderie in their season opener.
Blighty coach Dane Leyden said his team will use last week’s result to drive them to claim the cup.
“It was good to be competitive and nearly get a win round one,” he said.
“It was obviously disappointing to be so close, but the boys will use it as motivation.
“It (the cup clash) is a game we always look forward to, a test against a strong side to see where we are at.
“We have to be playing our best to challenge, and we will prepare as best as we can to play some good footy.
“We get Luke Charlton back in this week, one of our fitter guys, but Harley Constable looks like he’ll miss with a strain.”
Meanwhile, the Rovers arrive at Blighty after a 92 point win at home against Mathoura.
Reflecting on that match, Rovers coach Alex Hay said there were a few things for the team to learn from.
“I thought last week’s performance was fairly consistent across the board.
“Given that it was the first week back into the cut and thrust of competition, we handled some important moments well.
“It was pleasing that we were able to adjust our mode with the playing conditions, and controlled the ball when we needed to.
“Mathoura played a really strong, contested game, so it was good to see that we can play that style and get the ball on the outside a little quicker than we have previously.
“That was a big focus for us over the pre-season.”
Ahead of the Warner Tasker Cup match, Hay said he is expecting a challenging proposition against an improved Blighty side.
But he said there would be a few outs for the Rovers due to injuries from last week’s game.
“This game is always such a tough contest.
“I think I have said it every year when we suit up for the Warner Tasker Cup - it doesn’t matter where each side is sitting, the contest is uncompromising, and I’d expect the same this weekend.
“I know that Blighty had a pretty strong off season and brought in some quality, which you can see from last week’s result, so we will have to be as sharp as ever coming into the game.
“Unfortunately, we had a couple go down. Kaiden Joss will be a huge miss as we wait for a verdict on his knee and Pittsy (Jayden Pitts) will be out for a few with a groin.
“It’s really disappointing given the amount of work that they had done over the pre-season and the importance that both of them have in our line-up.
“We’ll have to look at selection and ensure that the next ones coming up are able to play the role, and have an impact in such an important game for the club.”
